Here’s an overview.

The Hiring Process for Tree

So you’ve read all about the amazing things that Tree.com has to offer and you’re really excited about landing an opportunity here. You’ve found the PERFECT position and you’ve submitted an application. Now what?

We have different processes for different positions within the company. They all start with one of our dedicated Recruiters reviewing resumes for potential candidates. If they find someone who looks like a fit for the position in terms of skill set, areas of interest, prior work experience etc., you could score a 15-45 minute phone conversation so that we can dig deeper into your experience and expectations.

Here’s what could happen next:

Like we mentioned, the process can vary from position to position – let’s face it, Developers and Online Marketers have different approaches!

Our interview processes are rather lengthy, but it’s all part of the plan. We need dedicated professionals who are willing to start something and see it through to the end. You may have to handle the stress of panel interviews and navigate difficult behavioral interview questions. We may ask you to research a topic and conduct a presentation during one of your interviews; likewise homework, pop quizzes and/or writing samples could be used for evaluation purposes. Interpersonal communication skills and interaction with our teammates will also weigh very heavily into our decision making.

At the end of it all, it’s the Hiring Manager that makes the decision to extend the offer, but it’s the Recruiter that you will hear from. They will call you to present the good news and talk through the specifics of the job, the offer, the start date and the next steps. This is when we start the detailed background process and get your offer documents out to you.

The fun and excitement come with the potential opportunity at the end of it all and you find a career with a company that you LOVE!
